FCLF Expertise and Capital

FCLF News September 2018

At Florida Community Loan Fund, we provide financing and expertise to help projects succeed throughout Florida. Many times our financing is provided at the beginning of a project – for land acquisition or predevelopment, or prior to new construction or property rehabilitation. So we are always excited when we get to see a finished project and visit with the residents of the local communities who receive benefits from these community development projects.

Back to School. This fall we were pleased to visit two schools that were renovated with the help of FCLF financing and completed new classrooms in time for the opening of the 2018-19 school year. Click on the images below to learn more about Livingstone Academy and Emma Jewel Charter Academy.

Livingstone Academy

Livingstone Academy provides individualized instruction for students with learning disabilities in Hillsborough County. The new autism center provides 6 classrooms, a sensory gym, and counseling space. Learn more about Livingstone Academy.

Emma Jewel Charter Academy

Emma Jewel Charter Academy provides a choice in education for families in Brevard County. The curriculum always includes a focus on nutrition and health in addition to individualized learning. The 4 new classrooms allow the addition of a VPK this year. Learn more about Emma Jewel Charter Academy.

Education & Training for Community Development Leaders. Throughout the year there are many training and education opportunities around Florida for community development leaders. This month Florida Community Loan Fund staff will be at these two conference events. We invite to you find us at the exhibit area or in a workshop and learn how you can put FCLF's capital and expertise to work for your project.

APA FL Conference

Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association, September 11-14 in West Palm Beach, offers attendees an opportunity to learn and unlock the treasures within this wonderful state through in-depth, hands-on breakout and skill sessions. Learn more about the APA-FL Conference.

FSHC Summit

Today we take a moment to remember the tragedies that took place on September 11, 2001, and all the families who experienced loss. Our hearts go out to you.
