Florida Community Loan Fund has finalized the closing of our latest New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) project: an $11 million new clubhouse facility for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County in Bradenton, Florida.

With financing through the NMTC program, Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County will build a new 47,500 sq-ft DeSoto Club, replacing the current worn out, 50-year old building. The new facility will reach 2,400 students annually with programs that drive academic achievement, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.

“Without NMTC, it could have taken years to pull together financing for this project. The time to mentor children and youth is now – not years down the road. The new Boys & Girls Club will reach thousands of students every year, in their own back yard; and it will reach them right now."
– Nelson Black, FCLF Chief Lending Officer
