BORP: Adaptive Sports and Recreation LOGODonate Now

November 2016 BORP Newsletter

Dear BORP Supporter,

As we enter the season of giving, I have been reflecting on 2016 and BORP's 40 years of changing people's lives through one of the richest adaptive ports and recreation programs in the country. It's a legacy we couldn't have achieved without your support.

On Tuesday, November 29, BORP will be participating in #GivingTuesday, an international day of giving. Your #GivingTuesday donation we be used to update and maintain the sports equipment that make our programs possible -- We're calling it #GivingWheelsDay. But it's about more than equipment. As always, your support will empower people with physical disabilities and visual impairments to compete, play, exercise, enjoy the outdoors all while building a community that many of us have come to call "our BORP family."

Please check out our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram profiles to learn more, share messages with your friends, and chip in to buy a wheel and other essential equipment on Tuesday, November 29.

Giving Tuesday with BORP: #GivingWheelsDay

On Tuesday, November 29, BORP will be participating in Giving Tuesday and accepting donations to help purchase and maintain the equipment that is essential to our programs. We call it #GivingWheelsDay, but it's about more than wheels and basketballs. Your donation, no matter the size, will have a direct impact on the lives of people with physical disabilities who come to BORP for sports and recreation and, in the process, gain confidence and community.

Rainy Day Parks

It’s that time of year when the unpredictable weather makes planning a trip to a park a little iffy. Not to worry because there are 3, mostly indoor, National Parks in the East Bay that are good options during the rainy season.
