CO-ED SWIM & DIVE UPDATE
The Horizon Honors Swim and Dive Team has gotten off to a fantastic start!  We opened the season August 28th with our first meet at Phoenix Country Day School.  Many personal best times were set!  If you get the chance, please come out and support the team on Thursday, September 13th!
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL UPDATE
The Varsity Volleyball team is off to a great start being undefeated in their first 2 matches. The Eagles defeated Chandler Prep 3-0 on August 28th and Benjamin Franklin 3-1 on September 4th.  Camryn Marshall leads the team with 29 kills and 25 digs, Jordan Cook has tallied 18 kills and 25 digs, and Liv Moran has recorded 15 kills and 19 digs for the first two matches. Courtney Gertson has 18 digs, Reece Stover and Madison Rowlee both have 36 assists. Come out to support the team this Saturday in Greenway Invitational and Monday @ Scottsdale Christian.
 
The JV Eagles are off to a strong start as well with a 1-1 record. Liz Stover leads in kills with 6, followed by Camryn Dunn with 5 and Breanne O´Meara with 4. Tessa Cummings has also added 16 digs for the Eagles.

  • Transcript includes weighted and unweighted GPA, class rank, community service and all high school courses and credits.

ASU MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. STUDENT CONTEST

We are now accepting entries for the 2019 Student Contest. Winning entries receive a prize, and will be invited to participate in the 34th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration at Arizona State University. All entries must be postmarked by October, 1, 2018.

ARIZONA CARDINALS COMMUNITY QUARTERBACK AWARD
The Arizona Cardinals Community Quarterback Award recognizes outstanding volunteers in the state of Arizona ages 13 and up. A panel of community leaders will determine the award recipients and award a total of $20,000 to the charitable organizations they serve. This program honors individuals who exemplify leadership, dedication, and commitment to improving the communities in which they live through volunteerism.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT
ILP CONFERENCES
Individual Learning Plan Conference (ILP) Days will be school days with early release, followed by ILP Conferences beginning at 1:00 pm.  Horizon Honors Secondary School students will be released at 12 pm with scheduled conferences beginning at 1:00 pm.  Second Quarter ILP Conferences are Thursday, October 11th and Friday, October 12th. Appointment times are 1:00 pm to 6:15 pm.  Students must attend with their parents.  Call the office for an appointment at 480-659-3000.  There will be NO lunch on early release days.
