A NIGHT AT THE CIRCUS
Don’t miss performances of the family-friendly comedy Under the Big Top. Take a trip to the Marlow Little Big Top Circus where magicians are claustrophobic and the trapeze artists are afraid of heights. Mr. Marlow and his daughter attempt to save the circus as the bank threatens to foreclose. In a series of mishaps, the money goes missing and EVERYONE is struggling to find it. Discover what it means to be a part of the circus family in this quirky, absurd adventure.

Performances are December 2nd at 3:30 p.m. & 7 p.m. and December 3rd at 7 p.m. All tickets are $5 and are available in the front offices or from the production team students starting November 18th.

MEDIA CENTER

PARENT INVOLVEMENT
ILP SIGN UPS READY
At Horizon Honors we value the student-parent-teacher triangle.  This partnership helps our students reach their potential.  Parent involvement is key and can be established during the ILP (Individual Learning Plan) conferences as you review your child’s progress and set goals for the quarter. The plan will cover topics, tasks, and learning outcomes your child will be expected to achieve by the end of the quarter. The written list of goals will serve as both a visual indicator of progress and an agenda for the conference.  Students do not attend school on ILP Conference days, but rather are expected to attend the conference.

The office is ready to assist you in setting up your ILP time for 3rd quarter.  Please call (480) 659-3000 and select a meeting time for you and your child.  ILPs will be held Friday, January 6th with conference appointment times available from 7:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 pm  – 2:45 p.m. as well as Monday, January 9th from 7:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 – 2:45 p.m.
ATTENTION CHOIR, BAND & GUITAR STUDENTS!
Ensemble Yearbook Pictures will be Monday, December 12th blocks 1 and 2 as well as Tuesday, December 13th blocks 5 and 6.  Please note that STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT IN UNIFORM WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE YEARBOOK PHOTO.  An order envelope will be available soon to purchase group or optional individual pictures. All photo orders are due with payment on or before your student's picture day.

DISMISSAL REMINDERS
Parents – We need your help reinforcing dismissal procedures to keep everyone on our campus safe and traffic flowing.
There are many places after school where secondary students can be if they are not picked up at 2:30.
  1. High School Courtyard on Monday – Friday, 2:30 – 4:30 p.m.
  2. Media Center for study time or quiet work on Monday - Friday, 2:30 – 4:30 p.m.
  3. The Eagle’s Nest on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 2:30 – 3:15 p.m.
  4. Student Support Sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 2:30 – 3:45 p.m.
  5. Clubs, Sports, Activities you are involved in on Monday – Friday, as scheduled
The front of the school, church parking lot, and bus stop cannot be a place to be to just “hang out.”  Unless students leave campus immediately at 2:30 p.m., they need to be in one of the five listed places until 5 minutes before their ride arrives.  Elementary siblings need to stay with their elementary teachers. Secondary students may pick them up 5 minutes before their ride is to arrive. Thanks for your help reinforcing these procedures.
