Here is a great art activity to do with you family I found at fun website...called  The Artful Parent

DIY Thankful Bunting - A Family Thanksgiving Art Activity
Before creating the thankful bunting, sit down and talk with your family about what you are each thankful for.

Talking about what you are thankful for can be a great way to foster family spirit and a sense of contentment so I recommend doing this activity often, not just at Thanksgiving.

Gratitude is proven to buy happiness and even improve health!

House of Hope - Food Pantry Drive
A message from Bonnie W., Board of Director

The House of Hope is hosting a Food Drive for those in need in our local community as they gear up for the Holiday Season. A barrel for collections will be conveniently located in the Art Docents Office for those who wish to participate. Any kind of canned goods would be welcome, but please remember to please check the expiration date on items donated.

Committee Updates

6th Grade Big Data Art
lessons are happening NOW at Fisher!

The lesson has changed a bit from the pilot lesson back in May and it looks very good! Some tweaks were made and videos added. The lesson is unlike any lesson the Art Docents have taught before yet familiar in its creativity, fun and beautiful slides. Kids seem to enjoy the lesson and beautiful Data Portrait Spirals are being created to create a
6th Grade Big Data Art project to be displayed at the Art Show!

Check out our featured artist Laurie Frick whose artwork has inspired our project!
Continuing Ed
NuMu 106 E. Main St Los Gatos - General Meeting Location

Have you visited the NuMu, Los Gatos' very own art and history museum?  Well here is your chance to get in for FREE!  We are switching things up this month and will hold our next General Meeting in the upstairs gallery.  Maureen Cappon-Javey, the Deputy Director, will lead an introductory tour of the museum including the current art exhibit Circle of Truth.

Circle of Truth is a wholly unique collaboration of 49 contemporary artists, each sequestered and unknown to one another, working in absolute secrecy. Taking a full nine years from launch to completion, Circle of Truth is a modern, visual take on a common childhood classroom exercise wherein a secret message was whispered from student to student, often referred to as the Rumor Circle, or the Telephone Game. The Circle of Truth Project was launched in 2009 and completed in 2016.

Movie Night:  The Silence of Mark Rothko
Monday, November 26th at 7pm

We will watch the 2016 hour-long documentary about the American Abstract Artist Mark Rothko.  Please join us on Monday, November 26th at 7pm at the home of Theresa Bricker.  We will serve salted popcorn and you are welcome to bring a drink to share, but please do not bring food (due to family allergies).  Limited to 12 people due to size constraints. For more info on Rothko visit
