Live Music in the Shoals

Hansel and Gretel

April 20 & 22: UNA Opera presents Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel & Gretel on Friday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 22, at 2 p.m. at Norton Auditorium. Hansel & Gretel will delight audiences of all ages as they discover how the siblings escape from the Gingerbread Witch, presented with full staging, a live orchestra, and a modern city twist.

Tail Wagger Tuesday

April 24: Join us at Singin’ River from 4-9 pm for Tail-Wager Tuesday! Bring your fur babies with you to enjoy a pint and they get Free dog treats!

80's Trivia Night

April 25: Join Trivia Masters at Singin' River Brewery for your favorite decade! That’s right, join us for 80’s Trivia! Prizes for the top three teams! Sponsored by Marco’s Pizza and Shoals Takeout! Trivia starts at 6:30 pm.

Walnut Street Walking Tour

April 21: The Walnut Street Historic District boasts tree lined sidewalks, diverse architecture and elegant homes. The tour will begin at 10:00 am at the UNA Tennis Court parking lot on Hermitage Dr. Walk by 29 beautifully restored houses that originally comprised the Walnut Street Historic District and were placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. Tour is led by Billy Warren.

Record Store Day

April 21: It’s our favorite day of the year. Join us at Blank Comics for hundreds of limited edition, exclusive record releases. There will also be live entertainment, sidewalk sales, 1000’s of used records for sale from outside vendors, fresh food all day, prizes and giveaways, and more. The event takes place from 8 am- 8 pm.
