Hosted at MATTER in downtown Chicago on November 15, CureAccelerator™ Live! is a live philanthropic pitch competition that gives YOU the chance to find the next breakthrough treatment. 
Our 2017 event will focus on supporting repurposing clinical trials dedicated to improving treatment for unsolved cancers or unmet cancer needs, or repurposing existing cancer treatments in non-cancer diseases.

Insight to Innovation:
Women in STEM Leadership Conference 

On October 27th, the Polsky Center at the University of Chicago will be hosting a day-long leadership conference for women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). The purpose is to provide a community and inspiration for those considering commercialization and innovation paths for research.

CWR's New Strategic Plan

During FY2017 over six months, a group of eight CWR volunteers (representing stakeholder groups from industry, university, philanthropy, investment, etc.) served on CWR’s first Strategic Planning Committee.  Now approved by the Executive Board, the implementation of this 3-year plan has begun to take CWR into its next stage of growth, both in terms of scale and 
long-term funding sources.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the leading cause of chronic neurological disability in the adult population. This program brings together a panel of experts from different sectors to discuss  issues affecting women with MS, challenges in clinical trials, and innovative ideas to improve patients' quality of life.

Strategic Planning Committee  

This month we recognize the Cures Within Reach Strategic Planning Committee, led by then-volunteer, and now current CWR President & COO Barbara Goodman.

The committee members brought a collective wealth of experience and talent to this initiative with their backgrounds in industry, academia, business, and philanthropy.
