Taking the Stress Out of Holiday and Winter Travel
By Donna Ahrendsen, TF Travel Specialist

It’s no secret that holiday and winter travel can be stressful. Here are a few tips to keep your travel less challenging:

Leave home at least an hour earlier. This allows some buffer room in anticipation of winter airline delays. If you’re going on a cruise or touring a city, consider flying into your destination a day or two prior to insure you are settled and organized.

Be patient and kind.  Gate agents have the power and will prioritize the airline’s top flyers and nice people first.

Stay healthy. Carry hand sanitizer, stay hydrated, stretch your legs often, and don’t forget lip balm and lotion.

Purchase travel insurance.
We recommend travel insurance. Please contact one of our travel experts for more details.

Why Use a Travel Agent
By Donna Ahrendsen, TF Travel Specialist

A good travel agent is like a good mechanic—once you find them, you’ll never give them up!

They will qualify your travel needs by asking the right questions, listen to your answers, understand your concerns, and offer expert advice on how to spend your invaluable time off.

Agents have first-hand knowledge of, and access to, a wealth of suppliers, allowing them to design the perfect itinerary to match every traveler’s dream getaway.

Travel agents are on the cutting edge of what’s new and have unique connections and access to benefits that not only save you money, but also add all the special touches to provide you with the best experience.

They have your back when things don’t go exactly as expected, and offer reassurance when things go awry by getting problems resolved on the spot.

Travel agents are passionate about sharing the world with you and over time, by getting to know you and your family along with your likes and dislikes, they provide the human connection that makes every travel experience more pleasant and memorable.
