JUNE IS CALLING
Father's Day, June Weddings, and Flag Day are the first things you might think about June. But there are also Juneteenth, the humble June Bug, and "June Gloom," which is the reason you should wait until July to visit San Diego. Did you know that June is also Accordion Awareness Month?

JUNE CLASSES ARE CALLING: Come let them serve you!

Winston Croft IT Director

TCCTC recently nominated Winston Croft as Volunteer of the Year in a city-wide recognition event. We've turned the spotlight on Winston so you can see why!

For more than ten years, Winston's service has been to take care of TCCTC’s technology needs. Here’s a partial list of what that service means:

Hardware
Winston purchases, builds, re-builds, installs, maintains, and upgrades: computers, servers, monitors, and audio recorders.
Software
He keeps the library, online portal, and database software up-to-date and consults with developers when problems arise.
Internet
He administers the website with its updates and extensions; provides Wi-Fi and keeps TCCTC cyber safe.
A/V
He organized class recordings for CDs and mp3 downloads. He also helps with ID photos and videography.

 Handyman
During the move last summer, he disassembled and reconfigured cubicles, hung monitors and microphones, and ran wires through walls and ceilings.
Teacher and Mentor
Winston is never too busy to give gracious help to faculty, students, staff and other volunteers with tech issues for classes and more.
Colleague
TCCTC staff are blessed by Winston’s unfailing encouragement and gentle humor.
Donor
In addition to all the valuable time Winston donates to TCCTC, he gives financially as a “Friend of TCCTC.”

Winston was born in Lake City, Florida. His BA was awarded by Southwestern College in Oklahoma City. He earned an MA in Anthropology at Assembly of God Theological Seminary.
Winston served in the US Airforce for four years, then in the Reserves for another 20 years, including service during Desert Storm.
Winston also worked 23 years for the State of Florida, moving to Tallahassee in 2004 to help implement Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) throughout the state.
A devoted husband and father, Winston met Sharon, his bride of more than 50 years, in Jacksonville. (The spotlight could well be on Sharon, too, for all her library and hosting volunteering at TCCTC.) Together they have four sons and ten grandchildren. Winston and Sharon attend Transforming Life Church in Lloyd, FL.

When asked for a quote, Winston quipped: "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
Wise words to live by!
