Dedicated in 1990 and named in honor of one of our benefactors, the Gene Strowd Community Rose Garden is home to more than 350 bushes of 150 rose varieties. The roses typically begin blooming in May and continue to display their gorgeous colors through December. The garden is free and open to the public every day and can be reserved at no charge for small special events such as weddings, photo shoots and baby showers. N
estled beside the Town of Chapel Hill Community Center Park, Bolin Creek Trail and a fabulous playground, the garden is the perfect spot for a picnic or stroll.
