SEASON OF LOCAL WOMEN COMPOSERS
Friday, October 30th, 7:30pm
Highline Performing Arts Center

The season kicks off with a Family Concert. Children are invited to wear family friendly costumes to this family oriented concert. Musical highlights include a world premiere piece by Samantha Boshnack, as well as the choirs of Kennedy and Mount Rainer High Schools performing with the NWSO. The evening will also include Two Jigs and Some Fireworks by Emily Doolittle, Heroic Overture by Keith Van Kirk, and Magia y Ritual (Magic and Ritual) by Jorge Mejia. Also on the concert is the ever popular A Night on Bald Mountain by Modest Mussorgsky.

"It's always great to kick off our season with a fun family concert, and this year we feature the ever popular A Night on Bald Mountain (as featured in Disney's movie Fantasia), as well as several other exciting works- including a couple of works by two of the northwest's finest women composers.  This is a concert not to be missed."
