BUDDHA DAY, Tsok & Precepts


Friday 10th

One of the 4 major Buddhist holidays, Lhabab Duchen celebrates the day that Buddha Shakyamuni Buddha descended from the God Realm of Thirty-Three after teaching his mother and the gods living there for several months. Please note that karmic results of actions are said to be multiplied 100 million times on Buddha Days so focussing ones activities on virtuous actions are encouraged.

The DBC will conduct a full Lama Choepa tsok offering which will commence at 7:30 pm


Monday 13th  (25th lunar calendar)
Tuesday 28th (10th lunar calendar)

All welcome. If possible, bring a small contribution of food to be offered and shared. 

Tsok starts promptly at 7:30 pm, please arrive a few minutes before to set up your meditation table and arrange your food offering. 

Help tidying up afterwards greatly appreciated

Koru Gallery Charity Art Auction 

Please support our charity art auction hosted by Koru NZ Art on November 3rd 6:30pm.

Proceeds will be put towards carpet for the DBC Temple.

Take home some well priced pieces of art or jewellery, could be a great time to start your Xmas shopping! 

Work will be exhibited in Koru Gallery from October 27th.
