MECA -  Dia De Los Muertos Festival
Saturday 10/28- 11 am to 7 pm. 
Sunday 10/29 - 11 am to 7 pm.  

MECA's Día de los Muertos Festival is a public celebration of Latin American folk-art traditions that commemorate family and ancestry.  
Festival events include a community ofrenda exhibition, Latin American foods and artisan and artist vendors. The festival will also host live performances of music, dance, and more. Performers include Tamo Junto (Brazilian samba); Más Pulpo (accordion-based gulf coast music); Bayou City Swing (gypsy jazz); Prema Bhat (Indian classical vocal music); Solero Flamenco; Grupo Guemilere (Afro-Cuban music and dance); Harry Sheppard (jazz vibraphones); Ermelinda Cuellar (jazz vocalist); MECA Ballet Folklórico; Mariachi Infantil de MECA; and Danza Azteca Taxcayolotl will open the festival. The festival is a family-friendly event you don't want to miss.  http://bit.ly/2isnaSt

The Houston GLBT Political Caucus PAC met on September 9, 2017.  At the meeting, the membership voted to endorse the following candidates: 

15th Annual Trick-or-Treat Trail - Pearland

Clean Dream Act March
November 9 marks over two months since president Trump ended DACA, and one year since he was elected as president. We invite YOU to join hundreds of Dream Defenders: immigrant youth, allies, business leaders, and people of faith are descending on the Capitol to resist Trump’s attacks on immigrants and to demand a clean Dream Act.
