MEET ONE OF OUR NON-PROFITS!
TUCSON FESTIVAL OF BOOKS

ASK A BAKER!

Q:  How do I keep cookies from going stale (if making a bit in advance for the holidays) without having to freeze them?
A: To prevent your cookies from going stale before you have a chance to eat them, place a wedge of apple in the container with them.  The cookies will absorb the moisture from the apple preventing them from getting stale as quickly.

Q: How can I keep my cake moist if there is some time between baking it and decorating/frosting it?
A:  If you bake your cake one day and are not going to be decorating/frosting it right away, you can place a piece of bread on top of your cake.  The slice of bread will keep your cake from drying out.
