DACA Renewal Deadline
As the Trump Administration sends mixed signals about the fate of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals — or DACA — an upcoming deadline affects many of the program's recipients. DACA recipients whose permit expires before March 5, 2018 are encouraged to renew their permit BEFORE October 5, 2017.  Applications will not be accepted after the end of the deadline. http://bit.ly/2k2NGm7

MECA -  Ofrenda Exhibition 
Applications to build your own altar at MECA Houstons annual Ofrenda Exhibition has been extended until October 2ndSpace is limited and reserved on a first come first served basis. The Ofrenda Exhibition opening will be Friday, October 13th, from 6-8 PM. The exhibition will be on display October 9 through November 17 from 10 AM to 7 PM.

Calavera Rendezvous
Celebrating it’s 8th anniversary, the Calavera Rendezvous is a passionate night of culture, art, and fashion. The soiree features a silent auction, Day of the Dead-themed visual art, and an ofrenda/altar exhibition. The highlight of the evening is a themed performance which includes a “Calavera Fashion Show.”  For ages 21 and up
