Mothers Helping Mothers
Mothers Helping Mothers, Inc., is an all volunteer not-for-profit organization,    that provides basic necessities such as clothing and baby items, free of charge, to families in     need. All items are donated or purchased through grant funding or private contributions and    are provided free of charge to our clients. We have run on the spirit and energy of a handful
of volunteers for more than twenty five years!
Mothers Helping Mothers (MHM) is able to help families due to the generosity of folks like you.  We have designed this newsletter to keep our volunteers and donors informed.  If you do not wish to continue to receive this quarterly newsletter, please scroll to the bottom and click on the "unsubscribe" button.

Most of the items that our clients receive are generously donated by local families and businesses. MHM is thankful to have such support from the community.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Donna at Pitter Patter, children's consignment store. Please consider supporting this local business in recognition of their loyal support to our community. They are located at 3815 S. Tuttle Avenue

Help for the Holidays
Mothers Helping Mothers is collecting items to hand out to families during this holiday season.  We are in need of new, unwrapped toys and gifts for all ages (including gift cards).  If you are able to help please bring items to MHM on Tuesday or Friday mornings between 9:00 and 12:00. The deadline for drop off is December 11th.

We Need Your Help!

Whether you are available once a week, once a month, once a year or anywhere in between, we can use your help! Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays and Fridays to help check in and check out clients and to help take in and sort donated items.  In addition, there are work days every Wednesday from 9-12 and some Mondays, where volunteers can help restock the store.  If you are interested in volunteering or have a group (church, mom's group, neighborhood club, etc.) that is interested in volunteering, please contact Cheri DeVries at 714-349-6552.

Families Served
Since we reopened in August, we have helped 1400 families.  In August we provided back packs and school supplies to more than 350 students.  Clients are required to register when they come to shop and are allowed to shop once every four months.
