Family Day 2017 is upon us!!!
We are thrilled to announce our annual Family Day will take place on Saturday, October 14 on main campus. We will have a fun carnival theme for the many activities that will take place in parking lot on lower campus, and will feature food trucks, a talent show, and more. If you have any questions about the day or want to volunteer to help out, just let us know!
September Safety
Fire Prevention

Here are a few tips to keep in mind when thinking about fire prevention:
  • Keep your work area free of waste paper, trash and other items that can easily catch fire.
  • Check on your electrical cords. If a cord is damaged in any way, replace it. Try not to lay cords in places where they can be stepped on, as this will contribute to deterioration of the protective outside coating.
  • Don't overload your circuits.
  • Turn off electrical appliances at the end of each day.
  • Keep heat producing equipment away from anything that might burn. This includes copiers, coffee makers, computers, etc.

In the Event of a Fire
  • Upon finding a fire, call 911 immediately and don't hang up with emergency response until told to do so.
  • Close doors when exiting to help limit the spread of smoke and fire throughout the building.
  • Never use elevators during an evacuation.
  • Follow the escape plan and meet at a pre-determined place outside of your building and away from danger.
  • Conduct a headcount to ensure everyone has evacuated.

How to Protect Your Information Online
There are more reasons than ever to understand how to protect your personal information, as major website breaches become ever more frequent. Equifax, one of the three main credit reporting agencies, said that identifying information for 143 million customers had potentially been compromised.
  • How do I know if my personal information has been taken?
  • What if I’m certain my data has been stolen from Equifax?
  • Should I change my passwords?
  • How do I create stronger passwords?
  • Are passwords enough?
  • Won’t security questions protect my data?

Community News

At Springbrook, we recognize that the skill and compassion of our employees extends beyond  the workplace and into the communities we are proud to serve and call home. We want to help  you share your great work with the Springbrook community, in this recurring section of  Springbrook Connect!

If you are a Springbrook employee and are involved in a community program or group  that is hosting an event, please let us know; you may just see your submission featured in the next Springbrook Connect. For example, perhaps you volunteer for an organization that is hosting a 5k for a charitable cause.

Please  do not send announcements such as personal business parties (i.e. Thirty-One, Avon,  Pampered Chef, etc.) or fundraisers for school groups outside of Springbrook (Girl Scout  Cookies, etc.).
